He asks me all the time if I would fix his HVAC system for free, but I tell him he should have used his inheritance to do that work
My brother has always been obsessed with living the party life. He always wants to have nice things and he always wants to throw parties regularly. We both inherited money from our grandparents and while he invested some of that money, I invested all of mine. He bought a house on the beach, which was his investment, but he blew the rest of the money on alcohol and partying hard on the beach. He didn’t even bother to upgrade his HVAC system or have it worked on. I decided to invest my money in starting a business. I was already an HVAC technician when I inherited my share of the money from our grandparents, and I decided that it would be great to run my own business. It wasn’t really easy, but the money helped out a great deal. I was able to get my own HVAC shop and I could afford to get a few company vans along with a few HVAC workers to help out. I had all the taxes and insurance covered and everything. Since, my business has become successful and I am making good money. My brother on the other hand has run out of money. He asks me all the time if I would fix his HVAC system for free, but I tell him he should have used his inheritance to do that work. I have told him I will give him a discount, but he can’t even afford that. I think that he might end up selling his house and then he will likely just waste all the money from that on more partying; he never learns.
