I love when I am actually right about something.
It happens less than you would imagine unfortunately.
So, when I get a win on a project of a product for the house, I just love it. Well, I recently hit the jackpot when I had an HVAC smart thermostat installed. Obviously, these things have been around awhile. But, I didn’t really understand how totally revolutionary this HVAC technology really is. All my friends who had one would just rave about how great it was not to have to mind the HVAC any longer. I kind of thought they were laying it on thick. Now, I realize that if anything, they were not effusive enough in their praise. When the HVAC tech put our smart thermostat in, he told me the best thing to do was to let it figure out our patterns. That is exactly what I did and it turned out to be amazing. Within weeks, the smart thermostat had our routines down and started adjusting the inside temperature of the house accordingly. Then, with just some very basic parameters put in place by me, the thermostat took over completely. It really was remarkable to come home and the house would be the perfect temperature. However, I knew the house wasn’t being over heated or over cooled during the day either. The smart thermostat saw to that. Just in the first few months, I have saved 15 percent on my HVAC utility costs. Now I just wish that I had put one in years ago. Not only does the HVAC feel great. It feels great to have been right about the HVAC smart thermostat.
