The A/C was just tipped

I am in a rental home that uses a heat pump for heating and cooling. The plan has been actually wonderful no matter the temperature. Sometimes the wintertime gets too freezing and the heat pump has to do emergency heat. It is more fancy but I do get the optimal heating I want! Well recently I noticed that my heat pump plan wasn’t cooling to the amount that I wanted it too. I couldn’t figure out what the deal was. I changed the air filter, cleaned the inside of the plan and did a lot of googling. I even did my own version of ductwork cleaning! Nothing helped my heat pump. The air coming out of the air vents were sort of tepid rather than cold, then finally I had the bright plan to go outside and look at the outdoor component with the machine. It wasn’t dented, blocked by bushes or totally tipped over, everything should have been okay. I then saw my outdoor component was at a slight angle. It wasn’t totally tipped however just a little lopsided. I googled to see if that would be a cause for concern. Turns out, yup it is. If your outdoor component is tipped the coolant can all pool to one side of the machine. Then when the heat pump turns on, you aren’t getting air blasted over a coolant! You are just gettin the normal, hot outside air. After righting the unit with some stone blocks, the A/C worked just appreciate a champ. I am actually glad that I didn’t have to call my building owner about the AC.
