I decided that I wanted to modernize my house this winter and I bought a whole bunch of stuff.
I bought a doorbell, carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, hallway lights and thermostat that are all smart products.
Each of those products run off the same app that I can control from my phone, laptop or tablet. It is really cool seeing all the products and being able to manage them from anywhere. I have a camera with my doorbell so I can watch for packages or intruders. The two detectors constantly give me alerts if there seems to be something wrong with the air quality. I like that I can turn on hallway lights when I am coming home from work. The thermostat is the most fun since it has so many capabilities. I can set a heating and cooling program that knows my work schedule, work out times and when I wake up in the morning. The thermostat also lets me know about humidity levels, poor air quality, air filter changes and energy efficient settings. It is really neat. I can additionally travel now and not worry about my home. I can check to make sure the lights are off, the HVAC is running and no one is coming into my house. I used to hire or beg my mother to come over. Now I am totally independent and it is all because of my smart products. Not only is everything so convenient and great at saving me money, but each new smart product looks great too. My house looks very updated with just those touches.
