My friends thought I was a looney bin patient when I suggested that both of us rent a log cabin out in the wilderness so we could have a nature adventure.
I found the perfect cabin online plus I showed it to all my friends. Nobody genuinely had the desire to go, but I managed to needle them into it. What genuinely sold me on the cottage was the fact that it had a gigantic stone fireplace on one wall. They also had a nice oil furnace so both of us would not freeze, plus I thought nothing could go amiss. Well, when both of us all ended up going to this cottage, one of the first things our friends were annoyed about was the fact that they had no cellphone reception out at this log cabin. I said both of us didn’t need to have cellphone reception anyway because both of us were trying to get back to nature out there. Of course, both of us didn’t have the internet either, plus it seemed everybody was beside themselves about this fact, especially Kevin, my brother. Kevin prefers to typically check up on his Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C method through the internet or through a mobile app. That way, he knows if there are any issues at his place. He was freaking out when he couldn’t sync remotely to his smart thermostat, but I had to convince him that his Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C method would survive just fine for a little while. Getting a fire going in the fireplace and mixing up some drinks plus turned on some songs with our stereo helped the mood, though. Everybody was able to relax in front of the fireplace plus both of us ate a homemade but rustic meal together. By the time our trip was concluding, I was anxious to have to go back to the real world, but I suppose everybody else was looking forward to getting back to internet, HVAC, and whatever other technology they love.
