I’ve never genuinely been interested too much about what’s going on in the big office building where my company has our offices. That was true until I was recently stuck there while there was a big snowstorm. I remember seeing warnings about the weather, but I thought I would be able to make it home before the snowstorm arrived, but unfortunately, the heavy snowfall arrived earlier than the weatherman expected plus hastily there was a driving ban. Nobody was allowed to be out on the road, so everybody who was finally working that day was stuck at work. Fortunately,my office is in a large building that has a lot of stuff going on in the building that I never really knew before. While I would usually go out for supper or bring food with me for our breaks, during the storm I discovered there is a genuinely nice cafeteria with food being served all day long. I never went to eat there before but the food was delicious. It was the perfect little place to hang out with other co-workers while we couldn’t leave the building. I also appreciated how advanced the temperature control settings were in the building, especially in and around the cafeteria. My friend told me they have radiant heated floors in that area of the building, and I found myself wishing they had that type of heating method in the section of the building where my office was, but I suppose it’s just too fancy to have installed in every square inch. There was even a workout room where people were able to walk on treadmills or lift weights while they were stuck there, plus they also had the radiant heated floors to supplement the heating and cooling systems in the gym. It was an interesting experience, but all I wanted to do was go home.
