Technology is a good thing but don’t sacrifice conversation

While there are a lot of incredible inventions that have come about with the advancements we have enjoyed as far as technology goes, there are also precious things that are seemingly gone forever.

  • What about the interaction with loved one’s or even communicating with friends the way we used to enjoy? With smartphones, a lot of people just dive into their cell phone and don’t even speak even while at the same dinner table! While it was nice being able to learn about others through conversation, now a lot of people enjoy just text plus never actually speak a single word.

Of course, there are a lot of helpful things that have come to pass with technology. With smartphones, we can do incredible tasks, such as adjust our temperature control settings in our homes while we aren’t even there, you can save quite a bit on your energy costs by programming your thermostats correctly. Smart thermostats even learn our preferred thermostat settings on our heating and cooling systems so both of us don’t have to typically give a second thought to programming the thermostat or making important adjustments to our living environment. I suppose with the vast improvements in technology, some things will inevitably go out of style plus then current conveniences will make life a lot easier for us. Of course, whenever I go on family outings with family plus even friends, I have a rule whereby everybody puts their cellphones in a cardboard box so that both of us all can actually converse while we are there together. HVAC technology through the smartphone app is all well and good, but I want to talk to my family members!
