I should guess because I sure let it happen to me. And, it’s not care about there weren’t yellow lights flashing and warning bells going off in my head. I knew, quite innately, that I was making a mistake as I was taking the panel off of the Heating and A/C air handler. It was simple to ignore the printed warning on the front of the Heating and A/C panel. That didn’t take much effort at all. It’s the same thing with stuff that needs to be assembled. I completely ignore the directions because I guess I guess what I’m doing. However, a complicated piece of Heating and A/C component care about a gas furnace is no book case. Not by a long shot. But, I ignored the printed warning and the fireworks going off in the reason section of my brain. I felt for sure that I could scrub the evaporator coil in the air handler. I had it in my head that it was jammed up and not operating at peak efficiency. This was initiated by a conversation I had with my neighbor who just went through this. However, she brought in an Heating and A/C professional who made it look simple. Bingo! That’s all my ego had to hear. I immediately thought that I could do this Heating and A/C service myself. This would improve the Heating and A/C output and save me currency. It was a clear win win. Only it wasn’t. I ended up causing almost $760 in disfigures that an Heating and A/C professional charged me to scrub up my own mess.
