A more powerful air conditioner

I am having my beach house built and I am at the point now where I need to start looking for air conditioning for the space. I have already been in touch with my Heating & Air Conditioning provider. They want me to go with a ductless mini split. Being as it’s Springtime, my mind has been a little more focused on having a heavy duty cooling system. I have been looking at a lot at high velocity AC. They use smaller ductwork and really get the air moving in the house. I don’t entirely have a strong opinion towards central air conditioning, but high velocity looks like it is only powerful. I’m looking for a quality air conditioner. I want to buy a new air conditioner that can keep the entire beach house cold and comfortable. So, it shouldn’t be hard to find a modern, central air conditioner with a great SEER rating and for a great price. The Heating & Air Conditioning provider has told me about several air conditioner options; heat pumps, classic air conditioners with great SEER ratings. I heard about ductless multi split air conditioners, but high velocity AC is still kicking around in my brain. I like the idea of changing the temperature in minutes rather than hours. I like the thought of tiny, flexible ducts. I can have one giant system for my entire house. One system to have repairs, service and maintenance on too. I am hopeful that I won’t regret getting this system in the end.
