He told me that he got busy and forgot to call the landlord
My wife was so mad about the furnace, but I am trying not to get too angry about the furnace in our new apartment. When we first started renting this apartment, we were told by the landlord how we should respond if the furnace or the central air conditioner ever stopped working. Since we were not responsible for fixing the HVAC units, the only thing that we needed to do was call the landlord and have him deal with the HVAC units. He would set up a time with the HVAC company if he couldn’t fix it himself. Apparently, when we were looking at this apartment, there were a few people that warned us that we might have to wait a long time to get anything fixed, but we decided to give the landlord the benefit of the doubt. Now, we understand that people weren’t lying when it comes to the HVAC units. Our furnace stopped working last week. As soon as the furnace stopped working, I called the landlord, and he told me that he would contact the HVAC technician immediately. A few days later, we hadn’t heard anything, so I called the landlord. He told me that he got busy and forgot to call the landlord. Now, it has been a week, and we still don’t have a working furnace. My wife is furious with the landlord, and while I understand the frustration, yelling at the landlord won’t fix the furnace any faster. I really just want to get the furnace working, and I might call the HVAC technician myself to get it done.
