I visited my younger brother to help him settle

My brother is close to 10 years younger than me, as he was an accidental pregnancy. Nevertheless, he was accepted into the family with open arms, and I was actually quite happy to have a sibling. It did cause some issues between us, because of the age gap, but one thing always remained the same. We had each other’s backs. As we grew older, we became good friends, although at 21 years old, I was ready to move out, and so I did. It made it much more difficult to visit him, and I did miss living with him, but I was ready to start my own life. So now close to 10 years later, I just got a call from my parents telling me he had finally fledged the nest. I called him and when I found out he lived only 15 miles from me, I was quite eager to help him settle. As I figured, he was confused and a little intimidated with the idea of living on his own, as I once was. So when I got there, I made sure to give him a few pointers. One of the main things I told him to keep in mind is to treat the A/C machine. I know that sounds like unusual advice for moving out. But one of my first mistakes was being careless with the HVAC unit. So careless to the point of the air conditioning machine breaking down. I learned really fast that HVAC repair bills are best to be avoided at all costs, because they are incredibly expensive. So I gave my younger brother tips on how to keep the heater and cooling unit in good shape, like how he would perform HVAC maintenance.
