My son has grown up so fast! I remember just like yesterday when he was still wearing diapers. Now he is already in high school and taller than I am, and I can’t help but to be so proud! Yes he has his moments of rebellion, and he has his dumb moments, but when he comes up to me and gives me a big hug, I am reminded of how much I love him, and how proud I am of how he has turned out. So, when he nonchalantly mentioned possibly pursuing a HVAC career, I was intrigued immediately. I actually wasn’t sure what HVAC meant, and when I searched it up, it stood for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. I thought this was an interesting career choice, and asked him what he liked about it. Apparently, he has discovered DIY heating and cooling online, and how the machinery works. He told me after he had watched several videos on the topic, he realized how fast he learned the subject, much faster than anything else he was ever interested in. He then told me how he would like to subscribe to the local HVAC business’ newsletter, but it was a paid subscription. Wanting to encourage my son as much as possible, I paid for the subscription, so it can fuel his curiosity and knowledge. I don’t know if he will actually stick with the idea of being a heating and air conditioning technician, but if he does, I look forward to the day when he is a certified HVAC professional.
