It had been many years since I had lived with someone.
I had no plans on living with my boyfriend so early in our relationship.
It was a time when we were still moony-eyed for each other, and that’s when the COVID lockdown protocols were set. We had to choose to live together for the next few for a short period, or stay apart for the lockdown. My boyfriend and I saw it fit to shack up, and of course that lockdown lasted for so long. Am I thrilled we did it? Yes, I have to say that I am, although there are some issues we face like the way my boyfriend runs the a/c. Because my boyfriend has apparently never had to worry about money, he has never considered how much a/c affects the cost of electricity. When your trust fund pays your bills, why would you be even slightly worried about a/c costs? Now that his trust fund wasn’t footing my power bill, I had to talk to my boyfriend about the way he kept adjusting the thermostat. This turned into more of a debate then I had planned, however the bottom line was that he would pay the full utility bill each month if it meant he could run the A/C as much as she wanted. That sounded fair, and I have been freezing ever since, because if the a/c ever stops even for a second my boyfriend will make it turn back on! It’s his money so I guess I can’t say anything, however … brrrrrr!
