When I started my new HVAC company, I was looking for four HVAC technicians to work for me. I remembered how hard it was to find a job when I first got out of HVAC technical school. Everyone was looking for someone who had some experience and only one HVAC company was willing to take a chance on a recently certified HVAC technician. The only reason I got the job I got, was because the instructor who taught my class, liked my work ethics, and knew my father. I swore that if I ever got a HVAC of my own, I would hire HVAC technicians who were recently graduated from school and had their certifications. The first thing I told the employment agency who helped with my hiring was that I wanted a few new HVAC technicians. When I said new, I didn’t mean new to me, but new to the business. It took almost three weeks to find the perfect people who fit my needs and would fit with what I was looking for in my company. I wasn’t disappointed in the people they brought to me. Since then, I have been in business now for almost ten years and all but one of the HVAC technicians is still working with me. We have a great working environment and I am pleased with the HVAC technicians I work with. I have never looked back on or regretted my decision to hire only newly certified HVAC technicians. It was probably one of the smartest decisions I made when it comes to my ownership of an HVAC company.
