Letting HVAC technology take the lead this summer

In the sections of the house where there is direct sunlight heating, the smart thermostat deploys the solar shades.

It’s a whole new deal this summer when it comes to the air conditioning comfort in my house. Most years, I’m the one who is eagle eyeing the thermostat setting. I’m the one whose always making sure that we stick to a reasonable amount of air conditioning in order to maintain our budget goals. My wife and I are lucky to have a nice house with quality heating and air. We are able to provide a good life for our kids as well. But we also both work jobs that aren’t exactly going to make us rich. Our paychecks go far enough to provide for our needs and maybe save a little bit. So I have always had to be super careful when it comes to the HVAC cooling costs. Around these parts, the air conditioning is easily the most expensive HVAC cost. But this year, I’m sort of turning it over to the HVAC technology to bring home the air conditioning savings. We had a smart thermostat installed and it’s synced with mechanical blinds. The smart thermostat has sensors all over the house so it can detect the slightest rise in temperature. In the sections of the house where there is direct sunlight heating, the smart thermostat deploys the solar shades. It’s pretty cool to have this HVAC technology do this for me. But I’m still feeling a bit weird when it comes to letting go of this much HVAC control. I’m going to do it though and let this HVAC technology really save us some money this summer.
