I count on the heat pump for respiratory health as well

It’s a mean, hot, thick summer that is staring me right in the fact these days. It’s mid June and the full on oppressive heat is now settling down on top of us. That’s something that I semi dread just about this time every year. The rest of the year is nearly perfect when it comes to climate. But we are in desperate need of HVAC cooling during the summer. It’s just brutal heat down here and there’s no other way to manage it. The heat pump is my friend there is no doubt about that. Pretty much anything I do from about lunchtime on in the summer has to involve air conditioning. Whether it’s working inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office or going for groceries, I can normally count on the commercial HVAC to be good. The same goes for my home. The residential HVAC in our house is good stuff. We invested some money in order to get HVAC equipment that is reliable, high quality and efficient. The SEER number is just about the highest we could find so the heat pump is super efficient. But it’s not just the efficiency, reliability or quality of the HVAC cooling that I count on. The fact that the heat pump and the HVAC cooling process also balances the humidity levels in my house is so important. That mitigates mold & mildew in order to better and protect our respiratory health. This is such a key component of air conditioning that I think most of us take for granted.
