Our house sold after the HVAC upgrade

When we first decided to sell the house, I wanted no part of the process.

I was not a real estate fan and really just wanted to sell the house on our own. My wife is smarter than I am and proved to me that this was just a stupid idea. What we needed to do was have a real estate professional list the house and sell it for us. Well, we decided to meet in the middle and we had a realtor come out to have a look at our home. Once she was inside the quality heating and air of our house, she started making the observations that I knew I didn’t want to hear. The more she talked, the more projects were necessary that would entail a big cash outlay. That wasn’t happening and I pleaded with my wife for us to just try selling the house on our own. I wasn’t up to stuff like replacing the heating and cooling equipment only to then leave the house. Same thing with the kitchen and all the other stuff the realtor wanted us to do with our home. The HVAC unit was an older model but was still getting it done when it came to heating and cooling. I thought it wouldn’t hinder the sale of our house. Well, I sure learned my lesson. No one even made an offer for 2 months. So we finally started the projects the realtor suggested and that included updating the HVAC unit. Adding the latest in residential HVAC was just the ticket though. Our home had offers near and above asking price the first ten days it was listed after we got the new HVAC unit.
