Sort of tough to walk away from stellar HVAC

I was not wild at all about actually leaving the house.

It was like we had just perfected everything about it only to move out.

When we first considered selling our family home, we were newly empty nesters. The house was built to raise a family in. And with the hot real estate market, we also wanted to cash in our investment. But things like the HVAC unit and the kitchen and the roof were things that had to be addressed prior to even listing the house. This was the part that I so wasn’t into. My wife pretty much took the reins on the kitchen refit. It wasn’t super extensive but it did include all the appliances and some cabinetry. I took care of the roof and the HVAC equipment. The roof was pretty much straight forward. It was a pain in the tail to have that roofing crew out there for a week. I’m glad that I was inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office as it was happening. But finally that was done and I started concentrating on the HVAC equipment. The realtor had shared the comps and data with me regarding what residential HVAC was most popular with buyers. Between that and the HVAC contractor, we ended up with the latest in residential HVAC. There was zone controlled HVAC and a smart thermostat to boot. For sure, that was a big part in selling the house. But once we were actually packing up to move out, I really had some seller’s remorse. I was sad that I wasn’t able to enjoy that state of the art quality heating and air and had to move instead.
