I have a smart climate control component & I am not sure if I would suggest it for other people or not, because for the older generation that aren’t tech savvy, a smart control component would be harder to navigate… If you have sketchy WIFI then I don’t believe it would be too good.
- Additionally, if you aren’t a person that will travel or use the remote features of the control unit, you are spending more for just the basic dial model.
I easily do care about our control component though. Initially I purchased the control component because it was charming, but my control component has a cool silver surround & yellow innerface. It is sleek, clean & current looking. I care about the numbers being sizable & simple to read! The dial glides when you manually change the temperature. Another feature the control component has is it lights up when you walk by. I can see the temps outside & the hot & cold temperatures it will be later on in the afternoon. I use the handy features always, and second, I purchased the smart control component because I really liked that I could control the device from our iPhone. It is so nice being in bed & wanting a little more heating. I just click a single button on our iPhone & the oil furnace whirls to life. If I am in the office & I want our A/C program started before I arrive home, I can do that. I can even keep tabs on our homestead while I am visiting family up north. Another feature that lured myself and others to the smart climate control component was that it tells myself and others air filter swings. It is so nice not needing to worry about it every month. I never miss a change anymore.
