Last fall season, my wife was saying that we should invest in new heating units.
I was surprised because we had the central heating system and I was already planning to call the HVAC company for our regular maintenance and care.

I ended up calling the HVAC company to have a consultation before choosing to just have the regular maintenance taken care of. The HVAC professional said it was true that portable heating units these days are quite energy efficient, there were much better options. He personally recommended going with a ductless mini split HVAC system for our heating and cooling needs. He also mentioned that we could get a system that had built-in air purification and smart temperature control as well. The energy efficiency of these systems he said was unmatched and we would not regret such an investment. He had me won over and I went for the installation despite my wife thinking we would be fine with new heating units instead. At the end of the day though, she was thankful for the new ductless mini split which provides ultimate comfort and our energy bills are lower than ever!
