My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half.
When we started seeing each other, we spent a lot of time together.
We saw each other two or three times during the week and we spent every weekend together. We moved into an apartment together after we had been dating for six months. My boyfriend got a new job about a month after we moved into our place. Unfortunately, I didn’t see him very much after he started the new job. The commercial HVAC installation company is busy all of the time and my boyfriend works 12 hours a day sometimes. He has to work every single weekend and we rarely get any time together. My boyfriend was miserable in the relationship and so was I. Both of us talked about breaking up and going our separate ways. I wasn’t ready to give up on the relationship. I told my boyfriend that I just wanted a little bit of time with him. He told his boss at the commercial HVAC business that he needed to start taking one of the weekend days off. I didn’t think my boyfriend would make changes for us, but he wasn’t ready to give up on our relationship either. It’s been almost a year since we had those problems and we are stronger than ever before. We absolutely spend quality time together when Jack is not working at the commercial HVAC installation company and we make sure to have good communication throughout the rest of the week. I think we are past the hard part now.
