A bit of quick thinking with the hvac system

I was so grateful for the thunderbolt of an idea that I had when it came to how my pal and I were going to make ends meet when the pandemic was first raging.

I was sent home to enjoy the central air conditioning of my beach house and to work on stuff. Also, my spouse lost her job as a restaurant manager altogether. So with my pay cuts that came with working from home in my own air conditioning, and no job for my spouse, my pal and I lost about half our income. That’s an immense chunk of change to abruptly have to do without. The pay cut was one thing, but my spouse no longer being employed at all was a large hit. And my pal and I were worried we wouldn’t even be able to pay our mortgage. But before we freaked out and overreacted, a great thought came to my mind. Our beach house came with a basement that was about half finished, so my spouse and I took some of our savings and finished the basement off. This resulted in having a home that my buddy and I could rent out, and the cherry on top for that space was the ductless heat pump. The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning professionals added the ductless heat pump to the basement beach house, as there was no heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC duct down there. Besides, I don’t think it would be all that appealing to a leaseholder to have no temperature control of their own. So having the ductless heat pump truly did set that space off and made it independent from the rest of the house. Being able to rent out that space saved us a big hassle.
