Creating a comfortable space for my clients

He also suggested installing radiant floors in our studio for the comfort of the clients.

After I graduated school, I decided to turn our passion for photography into a job, then i took classes at a local community university to refine our skills, and opened a boudoir photo studio in our hometown, and boudoir can be considered taboo, although I suppose the human form is beautiful, and I love collaborating with our purchasers to make art together. I live in an area where winters are long and cold. To make it even worse, my studio is located in an old building. It has large windows (natural light is integral to our work), but since they haven’t been replaced since the 1940s, it can get drafty in the studio! Since my models are nude or partially nude while we work together, it’s paramount that the furnace is running smoothly. However, for this to happen with the current situation, I have to make do with the utility bill in the building being constantly higher during the colder months. I consulted an Heating as well as Air Conditioning company about improving our furnace efficiency. He gave me some good heating tips, especially for retaining heat. He was of the opinion that installing door sweeps and foam window seals to prevent drafts, which have really made a difference in retaining the heat produced by our furnace. He also suggested installing radiant floors in our studio for the comfort of the clients. According to him, radiant floors are a pretty efficient heating solution, and that the clients would love the luxury! After clearing the plan with the property owner (who agreed to split the cost), I had a heating and AC company install radiant floors in the space. While I had to be out of the studio while they installed, I took advantage of a few beautiful free afternoons to revisit my old passion for nature photography. While the heating as well as air conditioning companies worked their magic, I had some magical ideas of our own which would include incorporating nature in our boudoir practice. In the end, getting radiant floors was a win for all involved!
