I’ve purchased several bachelor’s degrees, three master’s degrees, and many bizarre certifications throughout my lifetime.
Even though formal education can teach you a lot, occasionally having a conversation with someone can teach you more than you thought you could learn. For example, I randomly found myself at an air conditioning convention last weekend when I was traveling. Even though I own a home and deal with all of the air conditioning maintenance requests myself, I hadn’t realized there were so many things I didn’t know. I met a appealing air conditioner representative and ended up certainly hitting it off with her. She shared with me so many energy saving tips, and told me about some bizarre UV air purifiers. I genuinely need a new UV air purifier since I have the world’s worst dust irritations, so she walked me through some of them and even introduced me to some of the vendors. I certainly didn’t know that air conditioner representatives were a thing, but more people should know about them. It’s nice to have an advocate in your corner when you are going through the stress of getting a new air conditioning and furnace. I ended up getting her number and she is going to send me some great resources for air conditioning companies she knows in my area. Another great thing that came out of the conference was scoring myself a date! She is going to let me know when she flies into my city. I can’t wait to see her again since she was incredibly cool.
