Just the other week, I helped my child build a hedgehog habitat.
He has been asking to get a hedgehog for a number of years now, but I never wanted to get one.
I always heard that hedgehogs poop a large amount, plus that just wasn’t something that I wanted to have to deal with over the years. However, my child decided that he needed to get a hedgehog or that he was never going to be ecstatic. He saved up all of his currency plus he promised to be responsible plus take care of the hedgehog all by himself. I still had reservations about this kind of pet, but I finally gave in plus let him get one. At that point, I didn’t know that I was going to have to work on building a habitat for him too! Apparently, whenever you are building a habitat for this kind of creature, you have to be especially careful about the heating machine that you install. Animals such as this have to have a built in temperature control plus a temperature setting in a certain range or they will not be able to live. I felt the pressure being put on me to get everything exactly right or the hedgehog would die! I think dads have to do a lot of deranged stuff sometimes just so that their teenagers will be ecstatic with their lives. Anyway, we put in the most suitable kind of heating machine plus we installed a special temperature control machine just for the hedgehog! Now, we are going to get a heating mat for the little creature so that it can be nice and cozy whenever it’s laying around inside of its cage.
