This past week, it was sweltering in the office.
We have been having a bit of a heat wave recently and my job has been even worse than it usually is! I don’t absolutely appreciate my job on a nice morning, but whenever the temperature rises, it makes being in the office unbearable.
Our office is on the top floor of the building, and as we all know, heat rises. I know that whenever the air conditioning appliance isn’t absolutely working respectfully, the top floor of the building is a great deal hotter than the lower floors are. Whenever the air conditioning isn’t absolutely working the right way, it’s apparent that people around the office notice, however everyone is meaner and grumpier than usual. Honestly, it seems as though almost everyone in my department is just in a poor mood. They aren’t the only ones, either! I completely know for a fact that I get into a poor mood whenever the air conditioning equipment isn’t absolutely working. It’s the same way at home, however I know that it might be even worse whenever I am at work. At least at home, I can put on a tank top and shorts. At the office, I have to be dressed up appropriately and that’s strenuous to deal with whenever the temperature at your desk is hovering around 80 degrees. I was thinking about bringing in portable cooling equipment to my desk by the end of the week, but finally I saw a commercial Heating as well as Air Conditioning truck out in the parking lot area. I am absolutely hoping that they get this setback fixed by Tuesday!
