VIP package at HVAC dealership

I am not the type who ever upgrades to the “VIP” status package.

It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, I am unwilling to pay more money than I need to in order to secure some extra perks. That’s why I always stand in general admission at concerts, my electronics are only under the manufacturer warranty, and I buy items with few frills. Recently, however, I broke my own rule and enrolled in the VIP package offered at my local HVAC dealership. I live in the south and we continually have hot and humid weather all year round. I only recently found out how deleterious this is to your central cooling system when my own air conditioner broke down unexpectedly. I was minding my own business at home when I heard a huge bang. Soon the temperature began to climb, as did the humidity. I called out my nearby HVAC specialist and he told me that the old AC unit hadn’t been serviced in at least 5 years. He said I really needed to purchase a modern cooling system, and I would be wise to purchase an HVAC service package at the same time. He told me they offer several levels of care, ranging from very minor checkups to full monthly diagnostics. I don’t know what came over me, perhaps it was the excitement of making such a large AC purchase or the paranoia of seeing this shiny new equipment break down. Soon I had signed myself up for the VIP maintenance package for the next 5 years.
