Waiting for new HVAC company to open doors

The best things in life are worth waiting for, that’s what I always say.

Or maybe I’m just being smug because this strategy has worked out for me recently.

I’m usually a terribly impatient person, but a few months ago I really managed to hold back and make the wiser decision to wait on completing a large purchase. Needless to say, I am feeling pretty proud of myself. It all started one day when our stupid central cooling unit stopped operating properly. It seemed to be pumping out plenty of fresh, cool air one moment, and absolutely warm and muggy air the next. I had no idea what was going on, so I called the local HVAC repair shop to come take a good look at my temperature control equipment. When the technician left my house, I was thoroughly unimpressed with my experience. He was rude, unknowledgable, and rough with my cooling system. Even worse, he handed me a quote for a brand new air conditioner unit plus installation, and it was astronomically high. I knew I didn’t want to spend this much money or to have this terrible heating and cooling specialist back in my house, handling brand new air conditioning components! However, there was only one HVAC dealership in town, so I had no other options. Just then, I learned about the upcoming establishment of a brand new ventilation company in our region which was slated for a few months down the line. That’s when I made the commitment to myself – I would not dare to replace my climate control equipment until there was a better heating and cooling company to do business with.
