The components of an air conditioner

I just completed my HVAC technician course.

  • To become an HVAC technician you have to go through extensive courses and training to become an HVAC technician.

Now that I’m certified and licensed I can now start working at my local HVAC company. I am thoroughly excited and thrilled to be able to do what I’ve always wanted to achieve. My dad used to be an HVAC technician and I wanted to follow in his footsteps. There was a lot of things that I learned while I was in my certification school. One of things that I learned was about the insides of an air conditioning unit. There are multiple parts of an a/c unit and it’s crucial to know all of them and their function. One of the parts is an evaporator. What the evaporator does is it cools the air conditioner’s coils and removes any heat by using refrigerant. There’s also a blower fan. This fan circulates air over the air creating chilled air. There is even a compressor that moves refrigerant between the evaporator and condenser to make the indoor air nice and cool. Then the fan will blow over the condenser to get rid of any hot air and force it outside. Air conditioners also contain filters that trap any unwanted particles that are in the air. Then there’s the thermostat located inside the home to control the amount of cool air that is let inside of the home. The air conditioning system may seem complex but it really is a simple unit for a HVAC professional like me to clean and repair.
