Odd odor in the lake house after lighting the oil furnace

The two of us just came off a very long Winter and I was delighted when the people I was with and I were able to shut down the Heating & Air Conditioning system for a few afternoons; I was particularly hoping that it was the end of having to use it for the season however with an unexpected cold front coming in the people I was with and I decided to turn it back on.

I should have known better than to think the people I was with and I were done because it is only the middle of March however the weather has been so nice that I was hopeful; At any rate the people I was with and I turned the oil furnace back on and observed that there was an bizarre odor in the lake house that the people I was with and I had not had before, but my wife said that it odored love something was burning and wasn’t sure why that would be the case, then the odor continued each time the oil furnace kicked on and I became concerned that there was a drastic problem.

I called our Heating & Air Conditioning business and had them schedule an appointment to have a worker come out instantaneously. I didn’t want to run the risk of a problem that could cause a fire so the people I was with and I shut off the oil furnace until they arrived, however once the worker had done her inspection she came back to inform us that 1 of the circuits in the oil furnace had malfunctioned and it was causing the component to overheat. I couldn’t understand why that would have happened all of a abrupt thought she said with older systems love ours occasionally these things just do, but she commanded that the people I was with and I have an electrical panel inside the Heating & Air Conditioning system updated and also left us with a brochure for a new component if the people I was with and I were interested.
