Thank goodness for twenty-several hour emergency heat and air conditioning service, otherwise it could have been a disastrous weekend. My daughter brought the grandteenagers for the weekend, then they made it in on Friday evening and both of us had sizable plans to have a barbecue at the local swimming hole on Saturday. The teenagers were gleeful and both of us were gleeful and both of us all got up early, but unblessedly, the air conditioning went out some time Friday evening and, being the middle of Summer in the south, the home was already heating up first thing in the day. My hubby called a twenty-several hour emergency HVAC repair corporation and they promised to have someone out as soon as possible. That meant someone would have to wait at the home for the HVAC repairman to show up. I hated that. This was family day, hubby had to cook and I wasn’t going to be the a single staying home, so both of us decided both of us would all stay apartment and wait for the HVAC repairman together. The HVAC repairman showed up just as the burgers were done, however he wasn’t all that interested in eating. Although both of us had a fantastic day, it was a scorcher and I was honestly blissful when the A/C was fixed. And I have all these fantastic toys for their next visit.
