Tips as a car owner

Until only a few years ago, I had never owned a car newer than our 2001 Honda Civic.

I spent my youth around old cars and thrived in old cars.

My parents had a yellow Dodge minivan during my childhood and despite its mechanical issues, it got us across the country and back on at least several separate chances before it was retired for good. There is a lot of virtue in valuing economy and frugality if at all possible, especially if you’re messing with a purchase that has a natural lifespan of a few decades or less with the best maintenance and care. And if you suppose how to do any of the repairs or service jobs all by yourself, you can save loads of money over long periods of time by driving a reliable used car. As you might expect this isn’t for almost everyone, myself included. When I knew I had a baby on the way and a sad wife, I took the initiative to get a brand new car with a dealership warranty. Not only would I have the comfort of cruising a new car with virtually zero issues, although I would also have the dealership maintenance contract to fall back on if any service job or repairs were needed later on down the line. One of the steps in their maintenance process is replacing the house cooling system. Nearly all newer cars come equipped with replaceable cooling system filters much like the cooling system in your house. After long stretches of time, dirt, pollen, and mold spores will accumulate as the air is filtered both entering your car and while recirculating inside your mode of transportation. With our new dealership maintenance contract, i would never have to pay to get our house air filter replaced as it would be included with the oil swings and even tune-ups.
