I have learned the hard way not to let my stubbornness get the best of me.
Just last week my wife continued to tell me that we really needed to get our air conditioner serviced before it really starts heating up in the summer.
I knew she was right but I blew it off and put it aside to do later. I didn’t want to have to worry about making a call to the HVAC cooperation or keeping an eye on the heating and cooling worker. My wife reminded me again how our air conditioner is old and without an AC tune up it may very well break if the heat becomes too intense. I knew she was trying to warn me for a good reason but it had started to annoy me and I had begun to see her constantly reminding me as nagging. I laughed at the thought, how is the air conditioner going to break just from a little heat? It wouldn’t, that was something I was sure of. Well I was very, very, wrong because only two days later the air conditioner completely died. It was my wife that was left calling the HVAC technician to please come and repair our a/c. When the air conditioning workman came out he suggested that we schedule annual air conditioning tune ups, and then told us the situation could have been avoided if the central air conditioner was kept well repaired and updated. In the end my wife was right and I was stuck paying the bill for the HVAC costs. I apologized and admitted I shouldn’t have acted the way I did. Now ever since this incident we have annual HVAC tune-ups and haven’t had an issue since.
