I really wanted to get my dad a nice gift for his birthday this year, but he’s super hard to buy for.
I always end up waiting until the last minute to find something for him because I can’t ever think of something that he doesn’t already have that he would really like. It’s super annoying, but I have found that he has this habit of buying things that he wants for himself right before Christmas or his birthday! It drives me nuts, but there’s nothing that I can do about it really. This year, though, I think I have finally found the right thing. It’s something that he wants but he doesn’t even know that he wants it, so it’s perfect. My dad has been complaining about his old thermostat unit for a while now. He mentions to me here and there that the temperature on the thermostat isn’t staying steady the way that it should and he thinks that it’s affecting the performance of his HVAC system in the house. Whenever I heard him complaining about it, I immediately thought about how I could turn that into a birthday present for him for this year. I started doing some research about different types of thermostat units. I looked online for different heating and cooling websites and I found something called a smart thermostat unit that sounded amazing. My dad loves all kinds of new gadgets and I think that the fact that he could adjust his thermostat from anywhere at all with his smartphone would be something that he would really like.
