I’m taking a break from mowing the lawn.
I had to cool off in the air conditioning.
This heat is torturous. The temperature outside will reach the high nineties today and the heat index will be sky high, but it’s already in the high eighties. I’m trying to get this lawn mowed early, before it gets too hot, but it’s already brutally hot to do the work I am doing. My lawn mower broke down a couple of weeks ago. I paid to get it fixed and it took the repairman five days to do it, but it broke down again halfway through mowing the yard. So, I went to the pawn shop and bought one of those push mowers without a motor. I’m sure this thing will be great when I mow before the grass gets too tall, but right now the grass is thigh high and this is a lot of hard work. Which is why I will end up coming in every fifteen minutes to cool off in the air conditioning. It’s going to take me all day to mow this lawn, but I have to take a lot of air conditioned breaks or I could pass out. I will have to literally time myself because I passed out from the heat once. It came on so quickly and unexpectedly and I sure don’t want to go through that again. I will make sure every fifteen minutes I take a fifteen minute cool off break sitting in the air conditioning with a cold drink. I think that’s the only way that I will safely get this yard done.
