I was anxious when our kid told myself and others that she was joining a fraternity.
I never really joined a fraternity myself, although I had heard all the awful things that people talk about.
Well, our kid was having a hard time for sure when I talked to him, even though she didn’t seem to want to talk about what was going on. I know they have strict rules in these fraternities when it comes to talking about what is happening. They are not certainly tolerant of ‘snitches’ so to speak. Well, eventually I was able to get our kid to tell myself and others something, plus I didn’t care about what I was hearing. She said that they made them sleep with the heating plan running at 78 degrees while in the hot season! I thought that our child could get certainly sick from covered in sweat through the night. She told myself and others that I shouldn’t tell anybody about this or she could get into big trouble. I had to ask our kid if it was worth it suffering through the days with the heating plan working at a deranged temperature control setting. She seemed to want to get to the next level so she could start calling the shots, however it sounded care about they would just torture the next people who were joining the frat house. I asked him if she would care about torturing other people the same way she was being tortured with serious temperature control settings, plus she admitted that she wouldn’t want to do that. So she ended up quitting the fraternity, plus I was proud of him for that.
