I had a disappointing nightmare last night.
I dreamt that there was this creepy, long-limbed, alien creature running around on our roof.
It was trying to get into the home and it was digging at the shingles with its creepy fingernails. I woke up in a chilly sweat and suddenly reassured myself that it was just a dream. I was almost back to sleep when I bolted upright and sat in our bed listening intently. I had heard that digging sound again. For a few alarming minutes I thought that the alien creature truly was on our roof. But after listening more I could tell that it wasn’t anything otherworldly. It sounded like it was a raccoon or an opossum. It also sounded like it was in the HVAC duct system. Although I was cheerful that it wasn’t some sort of alarming monster I was still exasperated that some wild animal was just feet above our head and digging in our HVAC duct system. I didn’t get any more sleep that night. In the day. I called up an Heating as well as A/C company after that I waited for them to show up. Thankfully, they can around the time they said they would and they suddenly got to toil cleaning and sealing our HVAC duct system. They also put up some wire in our attic to keep the animals out. Now I just need to hire a cleaner to clean up our attic. The Heating as well as A/C workers said that the raccoons made a mess up there. I almost wish it had been a monster instead of raccoons. That would have been less messy.
