My phone number used to be the number for a commercial/industrial boiler and chiller rental business. So every now and then I get business owners calling me about hot water boilers or low temperature chillers. It gets annoying because I never know when to expect these calls. I will be walking around the grocery store and then answer a call from a chemical plant worker who wants to know about chillers. I will be watching tv on a saturday night and get a woman wanting to discuss the difference of a hot water vs steam boiler. I have gotten quite knowledgeable in the field of boiler and chillers though. I have heard enough terms and gotten curious about it. I also have found the company online that people are looking for. So at least when I get the call, I give them the new number. I feel like the industrial chiller and boiler company should pay me a small fee. I could let all that business down. I also could be mean and pretend to be the company that set up a fake delivery date. Instead I pass along the correct information and I even am knowledgeable about the content. The commercial boiler and chiller company will never know it is me behind closed doors. It might be better too. I don’t think they would like knowing a 22 year old girl in sweatpants is referring to them as a business. Maybe when I graduate school and can’t find a job I will call their real number and see if they can employ me.
