I live far enough south that all of us never need to worry about snow.
The Winter time season here is quite brief plus absolutely mild.
However, all of us occasionally see un-even temperatures in the low forties or even the upper thirties, and my little condo is equipped with a packaged component that provides both heating plus cooling. The component is installed outdoors plus exposed to the elements. During the summer, it has no problem keeping the condo perfectly cool, however as an air conditioning, it’s severely powerful plus even on the hottest mornings, can rapidly bring the temperature down to a comfortable level. The plan struggles during the worst of the winter. I try to set the indoor temperature for as low as I can tolerate to reduce the workload of the heater. I’ve also invested into an electric space gas furnace that resembles a wood burning stove. The fake logs plus fire provide a nice ambience. Despite the unit’s compact size, it puts out quite a bit of heat. I care about that it is absolutely quiet, severely wipe plus totally safe… None of the surfaces get tepid to the touch. I turn it on plus off plus adjust the fan speed with a cordless remote. Although the electric space gas furnace wasn’t overly luxurious, it’s been a lifesaver. When the weather is severe, the whole-house gas furnace occasionally ices over. I’ve already needed to kneel outside in the cold frigid with a hair dryer plugged into an extension cord plus blow moderate air at the component to thaw it out! Eventually, the packaged component will need to be substituted with a more powerful plus energy efficient alternative.
