I put a trail cam in our backyard near our heating and cooling condenser

I like all of the wildlife that live in our city.

My lake house is in a rural subdivision towards the outskirts of town.

Despite living in a subdivision, our lake house is at the far back end of the complex. As such, our yard backs up to a wilderness preserve. If I want to go hiking in the woods, I can reach a trail that is roughly 30 yards away from the back end of our property line. Eventually our wifey and I want youngsters, and having a large backyard with woods behind it is perfect for older children and young youngsters. One of the things that I like the most about this particular region is the creatures that you can find. You don’t have to worry about alligators or Grizzly Bears in this state, although black bears are respected even if they’re mostly harmless. We generally don’t have any poisonous snakes either, something I typically feared whenever hiking in the southwest and the southeast. At any moment you could accidentally step on a rattlesnake and get bit. It’s not exactly the sort of environment you want to raise young children in. I put up a trail cam outside near our cooling system condenser unit. About 10 feet from the trail cam is a salt block I put up for the white tail deer that come into the yard at night. Since the trail cam is right next to the Heating and Air Conditioning condenser, I get a full view of the backyard. I don’t want to put any food or salt too close to the condenser, because sometimes the people I was with and I get racoons. I like those little buggers to death, despite how much others hate them. Still, I don’t need racoons climbing on our heating and cooling equipment. They’ll stick their little hands into the wiring and get hurt.
