My friends and I constantly go to play golf on Thursday.
- All of us have been playing golf on Thursdays every month for the past 5 years.
All of us constantly get a genuinely early afternoon tee time, so the people I was with and I can be finished with our round of golf before breakfast. The sky looked dark and grey on Thursday afternoon last week, although I insisted that the people I was with and I try to play as various holes as possible. I thought the people I was with and I could genuinely get in 9 holes before the rain was so bad that the people I was with and I had to leave. All of us were on the fourth hole when the first bolt of lightning struck the course. I don’t mind playing in the rain, however the lightning is a unusual story. I knew the people I was with and I could not continue playing, so the people I was with and I gathered up our balls, clubs, and supplies and headed back to the clubhouse. All of us decided to wait inside to see if the rain and lightning would stop quickly. Sometimes that happens when it rains early in the afternoon. My friends and I grabbed a couple of popcorn and drinks and the people I was with and I headed over to the lounge. The fireplace was filled with logs and there was a hot glow in the room. The fireplace looked wonderful and it was clearly cleaned recently. My neighbor and I sat in front of the fireplace and enjoyed our popcorn. The rain never subsided and the people I was with and I ended up going back home after only playing three holes. Maybe the people I was with and I should have just stayed home that afternoon, although I dislike to supply up the chance to play golf even in inclement weather.
