I suppose I am too stupid to own a smart thermostat, however first, the replacement was sort of a pain.
I should have obtained a temperature control equipment that our Heating & Air Conditioning business sells. I then could have had 1 of the Heating & Air Conditioning workers do it for me. Instead I obtained something online that was cheaper & did it myself. The thermostat boasted capability with 95% of Heating & Air Conditioning systems, however at first it tried to tell me our equipment was in that 5% of not capable. After a while I realized that there was a wire that I was connecting & couldn’t. Emergency heating is something our Heating & Air Conditioning idea allows for that the thermostat does not, then so I lost that function in order to gain a modern thermostat. After installing it I thought our worries were over. Nope, the thermostat is always a problem. I read online that it learns a heating & cooling program based on what you do. I don’t know what our thermostat thinks, but 67 degrees at 4 am isn’t a good temperature. The thermostat will change our heating settings throughout the day. I think it is trying to supply me energy efficient settings. I would love to waste our money on good heating please! I frequently wake up in the middle of the night frigid. I stop our work day & check our thermostat because I know it is frigid at home. Since our thermostat is being such a turd I have ignored its wants for air filter fluctuations. It won’t listen to me, so I am not listening to it.
