A tune up can help increase the output of the AC

Summer temperatures are very hot and dry and it’s impossible to survive without climate control.

When I started to have problems with the indoor air temperatures, I consulted with a licensed and certified HVAC contractor in the area.

I work with a couple of different HVAC contractors so I had plenty of names to call. I am a building contractor and I mainly work on remodels and renovations. During these renovations, I usually work side by side with plumbing contractors and HVAC contractors. I’ve met a couple of great people and we all have each other’s business cards for emergencies. I called one of the guys that I knew and I asked him to come give me an estimate for the repairs. I really thought the problem was the AC. It was about eight years old, but I changed the air filter every month like clockwork. I was surprised when the contractor told me that the system needed to be cleaned. The evaporator coils were covered in dust, They were extremely dirty and Joe said this was the reason for my less than ideal indoor air temperatures. Joe advised having a tune-up service performed on the entire heating, cooling, and ductwork system. I really expected a huge repair bill. Thank goodness I called a friend and not someone that could have charged me a fortune for something that wasn’t necessary. That is one great thing about getting to know other people in this business. If I ever need a helping hand, I have plenty of people to call that I know I can trust.
