I’m talking monthly leasing options with my property manager while I move into a house

I didn’t think I’d be in a position to buy a house for another five to ten years.

My job pays me a modest salary, but I didn’t see myself in a position of upward mobility until one of my superiors left our company last fall.

My boss pulled me aside one day and asked me about my career aspirations. I had to be honest with him, as I saw myself working for the same company for the next 10 years if I was given the chance to. Because of my hard work and diligence towards my superiors, I was offered the job of the one who left for a different company. Now I’m making a lot more money than I ever could have hoped for in this period of my life. The first thing I did was payoff all of my debt to clear my credit for good. Then I started saving like crazy. I was eager to get out of my rundown apartment and into a house that I would own outright. When I secured a mortgage offer, I started looking around. Before long, I found a fantastic house within my price range. Unfortunately, the previous owners would be out of the house in time for me to move before needing to sign a new lease on my apartment. This is why I’m talking with my property manager about monthly leasing options while I slowly move into my new house. Even if the rent is higher, I’m hoping that I can simply lease this apartment month by month until the house is ready for me to move in.
