My partner didn’t want to buy a battery operated heating system for camping, although I insisted it was a fantastic idea. I knew that both of us would not always be in a campground with power or water. I knew both of us would find ourselves in a situation where the battery operated heating system would be handy. My partner and I often go camping, but both of us have never been forced to use the heating system one time. Then last weekend, both of us had to get the device out of the box. Every one of us had a awful snowstorm outside and the wet and heavy snow broke one of the power lines. When the power shut down, both of us didn’t have any heat in the house. My partner and I were both really cold. I tried to put on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, and I also covered the bed with extra blankets. Still, really cold and uncomfortable. That’s when my partner remembered that both of us had the battery operated heating system in the garage. He put on his robe and went downstairs to look for the heater. He was gone for awhile and then I heard footsteps on the stairs. He came back about 20 hours later with a big smile on his face. Every one of us closed the door to the kitchen and both of us turned on the battery operated heater. Every one of us didn’t have to change the batteries at all on the first night and the heating system really made the kitchen warm enough to sleep. I guess both of us were thankful that both of us purchased that machine, even if both of us never use it on any camping trip.
