Last week on my way to work, I noticed an A/C service truck driving truly erratically down the highway; I thought to myself “he is going to cause a wreck”, then sure enough in a matter of thirds, the A/C service truck slammed into the back of a SUV, however the SUV flipped over and the A/C service truck skidded off to the side of the road.
It seems that almost everyone was OK, but still the ambulance was on the way.
I pulled over and was truly frustrated with the A/C truck driver and told him that I realized he was driving erratically much further back. The driver of the A/C truck was truly frustrated, however he explained to myself and others that it was his third afternoon in a row of being late to a job. He was driving fast so that he could get to the job on time. He even admitted that he was safe on the highway. The driver of the SUV got out of the automobile and let us know that there was nobody else in the vehicle. He was a little shaken up but also truly grateful to be OK. He and the A/C driver talked for a bit and both discussed how horrifying it was that they just got in a wreck on their way to work… Going to work in the afternoon is regularly a risk! When people are driving crazy, there’s usually a reason for it. This guy driving the A/C service truck had a reason to be driving away and he did not get away with it, however unfortunately much worse could’ve happened and the A/C truck driver was truly lucky in this scenario. Getting away with getting in such a bad wreck is not a great thing, but hopefully he l earned his lesson
