All of us have some new neighbors, moved up from way down south, they seem love a nice family, but they are still decreasing to a new environment.
I would love to deliver some advice to them, but they haven’t been super friendly so far as well as I don’t want to seem pushy.
They will find out soon enough how long as well as hard the winters can be around here. A few afternoons ago I was out back cutting wood, as well as the family were sort of goofing on me. I have a woodpile as tall as our head, as well as they didn’t understand why I was cutting more wood in the dead of summer. They recognize that because they have a central Heating as well as A/C plan that Winter time won’t be a problem, as well as I hope they are right. In the last more than 2 years, a Winter time snowstorm has killed the power more than 2 times, which means the central Heating as well as A/C plan is also down. Each of these blackouts lasted for more than 2 to more than 2 afternoons, which means I would have gone all that time with no heating unless I had a backup plan. A fireplace may not be easy, as well as it may require work, but there is no more reliable source of heating when times get tough… Fire will always keep you alive! I try to be a good neighbor, so I will chop some extra wood in case they need it this winter, even though I don’t think that they even have a fireplace. I hope they have some backup gas furnace, or it could get dangerous while I was in the next blackout.
