I found out about this nifty concept called radiant heated floors. Radiant heated floors are heating that comes up from the tile or wood flooring in your home. If you do not have tile or wood, you would need to get rid of your carpeting and have tile or wood floors put in for the radiant heated floors method to work. I was lucky because I already have tile floors in my house. Investing in radiant heated floors are not cheap, but since they work great in heating your home for a very minimal energy use, the investment will eventually pay for itself with all that you’ll be saving in energy use! The other good thing and smart move i’m making with both the purchase and installation of my radiant heated floors is that I am getting it all done now, which is the dead heat of summer. This time of the year radiant heated floors are cheaper and so is the installation because no one is thinking about heating right now. Everyone is fighting just to keep their central air conditioning system running smoothly. I don’t even worry about air conditioning because I keep up with all my HVAC tune ups and check ups on the a/c unit I have. My radiant heated floors that I am about to get will begin construction next week.
