Finding the local handymen in the area

When I lived up north I knew every service and who was best.

If I needed to buy a home or a rental property, I knew the real estate agent that was the fair 1. If I had a leaky toilet, an electrical issue or our furnace wasn’t working, I had the name of the most qualified handyman in town… Now that I live down south, I am totally clueless. When I purchased our home, I just called the real estate broker that was on all the signs. The woman was horrible. She never answered our calls and certainly didn’t want to work. Then when I got into our house, I had a lot of maintenance. I needed the Heating and A/C maintained and air duct cleaned. I needed to change all the electrical outlets with new, pale white plugs. I also wanted the toilet in the washroom moved to a different area. I had a tough time finding who was the right man or woman for the task, googling services in a small city is dumb. The general maintenance team that is best is always a word of mouth crew. I ended up going down to the hardware store and asking the workers there for help. I got a number for a general handyman and a Heating and A/C serviceman that were able to do all our tasks for me. I am still looking for a good electrician though. I know there is some retired electrician that is fair and does a good task. I just need to find him. I need to do more city events.
