It’s been a fairly profitable summer.
And what I mean by that is I’ve saved almost a thoUSnd dollars on the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling over the past 5 months.
How’s that for some cool money in my pocket right? Plus, it wasn’t as difficult as I though it would be. All I truly ha to do was put my mind to it. I made the decision to finally commit to an Heating and Air Conditioning cost saving strategy this Summer and dang if it didn’t toil far better than I though it would. Saving that much money on Heating and Air Conditioning means that we were simply over cooling our home and throwing away money. And that’s just stupid no matter whether you can afford those kind of energy bills or not. For us, the a/c kicks on for real about March. Well this year, I didn’t go full into the a/c mode like I normally do. Instead, I chose to get accustomed to the heat. And that was the start of the savings. I hardly had the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling on at all in March. Then, it was truly limited in May. By June, I had the home sealed up slim and ready to for the heat. I figured out how to program the thermostat. So the home never was more than 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature, if that. We used fans, I cooked on the grill and we hung clothes out to dry all in an effort not to heat up the house. 5 months later and I’m closing in on a total of a thoUSnd dollars in Heating and Air Conditioning cooling savings.
